The injector is missing from one side where the washer fluid windshield out of the chapel. Do you throw it out like a geyser? Are these standard sizes that I could get at any auto parts shop or do I need to ask from an authorized dealer?

My water pump is starting to leak. The shops are trading $ 250 – $ 300 to replace but I can buy a water pump in the warehouse of auto parts and settle for less than $ 100 but I don 't know what all is involved with this repair or if I try (my only experience with car repair so far I am replacing the alternator recently).
