I will go at the university soon and I'm looking for a car that is economical and does not use much gas (gas prices are expensive !!!). I want to know when buying a car which features to look for to see if a car uses a lot gas. So that large trucks often need a lot of gas. But in a normal small car, which information do I need to know? A car that I have examined said that the mileage of gas was the 34 mpg city/40 mpg hwy. What does this mean? Also, I have to check the engine? For instance, 1.5L I4, 16 valves, 106 horsepower @ 6000. What do I have to try to conserve gas. What are the best cars now that do not use much gas, good quality and cost?
